Attending MX.0 Southeast reinforced for me that sustainable growth and digital transformation must be built on the right foundations. One of the strongest messages was that safety is non‑negotiable, GE Vernova’s emphasis on life‑saving rules clearly demonstrated that scaling capacity, operating lean, and advancing sustainability must start with zero‑harm principles. Equally important was the consistent focus on people‑first leadership, with executives highlighting early adoption, learning through fast failure, and staying closely connected with employees to build early buy‑in and maintain momentum.
The sessions on AI were especially practical, highlighting for me that escaping “pilot purgatory” requires continuous improvement, reducing variability, deep data mining, and structured change management, rather than isolated pilots. A recurring theme throughout the conference was the importance of customization over copy‑and‑paste solutions, or, as Jonathan Alexander from Albermarle Corporation put it, adding your own goldfish to the gumbo by building on proven frameworks while tailoring them to site‑specific realities.
Finally, examples from Atlas Copco, Trane, and Stellar Energy showed how high‑growth manufacturing environments can scale without rigid digital constraints by integrating technology with SQCDPI principles, balancing safety, quality, delivery, people, and inventory.

For me, the MX.0 conference delivered a highly practical and inspiring look at what it truly takes to scale digital transformation in manufacturing. The sessions reinforced that success starts with safety and people, is enabled by disciplined change management, and is sustained through continuous improvement and smart use of data and AI. The real‑world examples and candid leadership insights made this conference especially valuable and immediately applicable. The variety of topics presented at the sessions reinforced for me how operational excellence, digital transformation, and AI at scale are most successful when anchored in a strong safety culture, disciplined change management, and employee engagement.
