Rashmi Vadlakonda is a Smart Transformation Engineer at Trane Technologies, where she leads initiatives to enhance digital and manufacturing processes. With expertise in Additive Manufacturing (AM) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Rashmi has been instrumental in optimizing production workflows and driving innovation. Her areas of interest include IT/OT integration and digital transformation, reflecting her commitment to advancing the manufacturing sector through cutting-edge technologies.
Beyond her technical contributions, Rashmi is an active leader in the manufacturing community. She serves as an Advisory Board Member for several organizations including, North Carolina State University’s Mechanical Engineering Department, the Additive Manufacturing Emerging Professionals Committee (AM EPC) at the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), the SC Manufacturing Expo and Conference, and served as the past Vice Chair of Women in Manufacturing South Carolina. Within Trane Technologies, she serves as a Gen AI Ambassador and the Mentorship Lead for Asian Business Resource Group (ABRG).
Her exceptional contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including the 2023 Emerging Leader Award by the National Association of Manufacturers, the 2023 SME 30 under 30, 2024 South Carolina Manufacturing Power List and the 2024 Engineer of the Year by Empowering Women in Industry. Rashmi holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University, India.
