Ross Schalmo is the Chief Data and AI Officer at Eaton. Over the past four years, he has led Eaton’s digitalization transformation efforts through a comprehensive enterprise data and AI strategy, inclusive of the establishment of a global Data Governance program, as well as implementing the company’s first cloud-based data lakehouse. Under his leadership, data and AI programs in Eaton yielded a collective $200MM+ in business benefits in 2025 across Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Customer Service disciplines. In 2026 he has expanded his Chief Data Officer role to also lead AI for the enterprise. His organization owns Master Data Management, data integration, storage, visualization, advanced analytics, and generative and AI/ML data science, platforms, and governance.
Prior to Eaton, Ross spent 14 years with General Electric, with his most recent position as VP – Enterprise Application Architecture focused on cloud transformation, self-service data enablement, and end user services.
